Icelandic Plant Magic - Workshop (In Person) @Black Moon Botanica - Edinburgh, Scotland
The magic of Iceland is known to all those who have set foot on this seemingly desolate rock in the North Atlantic. Not unlike the landscape of Scotland, Iceland shares many plant species with this land, as well as many similarities in the folklore and magic that permeate it.
In this in person workshop discover the methods by which the magical plants of Iceland and Scotland can be worked together with Icelandic Magical Staves, as well as how we can make our own. Rowan wood carved with protective staves, juniper burned to cleanse and protect the home and delicate plants of the marshes and heaths, worked for banishing unwanted spirits.
During this 2-hour workshop we will discuss how to utilise many plants found in both Iceland and Scotland, alongside methods of working Icelandic magic with plants that aren't native to that land. Albert will also share some of his own personal work on utilising the plants of other lands alongside Icelandic folk magic. And go over techniques for utilising Icelandic magical staves.
The workshop will be held at the beautiful Black Moon Botanica, 41 Thistle Street, Edinburgh, EH2 1DY. Sunday 3rd of November.
All attendees must be registered through this site only.
Limited to 8 spaces.
